Expanding device: M10, M14, M19, M24, M29

Operation
• If a small proiection of broken fastener is there above the surface then make it a bit smooth and plain using an angle grinder.
• Apply WD-40 or equivalent penetrant spray over the trapped fastener and let it sit for 30 minutes for proper penetration.
• Mark a center on the top surface of the trapped fastener using a center punch.
• Carry out pilot drilling using a small size hard drill bit followed by drilling operation according to the following selection chart using hard Cobalt drill bits. Replace the drill bit by corresponding reamer given in the set and complete the reaming operation to achieve controlled hole size in H7 tolerance.
Important Note: Drilling should be carried out on Stationary drilling machine (Pillar or Radial) only.
DON'T USE PORTABLE OR HAND DRILL MACHINES.

• Insert the selected TnV Specialized Tool device in the hole as shown in the figure. Rotate counterclockwise for RH fastener and clockwise for LH fastener. The trapped piece of bolt/stud will come out along with the TnV Specialized Tool.
